Innovative adiabatic industrial cooling – BoostAir® Type R development with a total cost of HUF 534 million, supported by GINOP Plus

A new milestone in industrial cooling: BoostAir® Type R development supported by GINOP Plus

We are proud to announce that Autent Solutions Kft. has reached a new milestone in adiabatic industrial cooling. Our company has successfully won support under the GINOP_PLUSZ-2.1.1-24-2025-00031 program for the development of the BoostAir® Type R rooftop air handling unit, taking industrial cooling to a new level both in Hungary and internationally.

Sustainable innovation in the new generation of BoostAir®

The project focuses on the BoostAir® Type R rooftop system, a multi-phase air handling unit capable of cooling and heating throughout the year. The goal is to develop an innovative technology that replaces traditional chiller units with a system based on adiabatic cooling, offering lower operating costs and reduced environmental impact.

The uniqueness of the BoostAir® Type R lies in the fact that it achieves its cooling capacity primarily with a natural medium – water – using only a minimal amount of low-GWP refrigerant. This approach is not only environmentally friendly but also cost-effective in the long term, significantly reducing both energy consumption and emissions.

The principle of adiabatic cooling

Adiabatic cooling is a thermodynamic process in which cooling is achieved through the evaporation of water, without the input of external energy (heat). During evaporation, the energy required is extracted from the air, resulting in a decrease in air temperature and an increase in humidity. This simple yet highly efficient principle made the development of BoostAir® possible.

Our short 3D video demonstrates how the BoostAir® Type A efficiently cools the air using this evaporative principle.

Industrial cooling on new foundations

The BoostAir® Type R represents not only an environmental breakthrough but also a new dimension in cost efficiency. According to calculations, the technology can be operated at least six times more cost-effectively than conventional systems, even under unfavorable environmental conditions.

This is particularly important in today’s economic environment, where rising energy prices and ESG requirements are pushing companies to look for sustainable and cost-efficient cooling solutions.

Social and economic impact of the project

The project provides not only technological advancement but also has a positive impact on workplace comfort, employee health, and local economic development. The planned development will be carried out by Hungarian engineers and specialists, directly supporting local expertise and businesses.

By introducing the new generation of BoostAir®, companies can reduce workplace-related illnesses while improving thermal comfort and overall employee satisfaction – especially during summer heat waves.
